I MADE IT!!!! Day 7 ~ 8 Challenges!
In thinking about this card the thought that came to mind was busy. So, I was looking to make a busy card. This one fits the bill. It is definitely busier than most of my card, especially by using a patterned paper. I was originally going to make it with Smokey Shadow as the background but I thought it would be too plain and wouldn't fit in with the overall layout of the card. the best patterned paper I had that matched the color scheme was Green Tea Leaves.
The card is 5 1/4x5 1/2 white card stock, side fold. The panel is the small print Green Tea leaves. I cut Smokey Shadow with the Spiral Notebook Page die. I tried to emboss it but didn't like that so I pulled out an "oldie but goodie" Bingo Card stamp and used VersaMark. The Winter Wisteria Half & Half cut was layered on top of the card and stacked with an Ocean Tides Limitless Layers 1 3/4 cut, a 1 3/4 circle from Lavender Moon, A Beautiful Blooms felt flower & a smaller Green Tea Leaves one. The Jar Label die was used to cut Lavender Moon and was stamped with Smokey Shadow. 3 butterflies were cut from Smokey Shadow, Plum Pudding and Lavender Moon. Finally a Turning a New Leaves sprig from Ocean Tides finished off the card.
I am taking at least 1 day off!

Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful indeed! Love those colors and your interpretation!
ReplyDeleteThe color challenge you chose is my favorite from this week. You made wonderful choices (like the patterned paper) that really allowed these colors to shine together. Almost no one else I've seen took on these colors, and you made a wonderful card with them.
ReplyDeleteBefore I finished this comment, I sneaked a peek at your other posts this week. You did a FABULOUS job of keeping with the inspiration photos - the best I've seen. Looks like you had a lot of fun, and is always the case with fun, learned a lot too. Very impressive cards with very different sensibilities. Congrats and thank you so much for sharing.
