DECEMBER 2016 BLOG HOP

Blog-hop-logo

Blog hop inspiration

Fun...BRIGHT...Cheerful!
That is what this image said to me!!!

I use Filigree Border to mimic the Rosette Border at the top.

Lots of star dies In Hawaiian Shores and Lovely Lady.

The new Wish Big die was the perfect sentiment for the color palette.

I used Lizzie's MIM technique to dry brush a soft background to avoid stark white.
I feel like I will be doing that, a lot!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Create Along With Us December 2016

Create-along-with-us-heading

Create a project utilizing inspiration you've seen during release week. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product.

How much fun was it to see our SWEET Dawn McVey back in action!!!
I missed her SO MUCH! We needed her color and spectacular florals back!

Mine is less of a literal interpretation than I usually do,
Much more impressionistic...

My Go-to when I want a spray is Garden Grace.
I LOVE that set.
I needed to stamp the flowers separately because i used both Pure Poppy and Hawaiian Shores, so it is a bit harder to fill it in as evenly...for me anyway!

Dawns card is GORGEOUS!
Mine turned out pretty well!

MAKE IT MONDAY #269: EMBOSSED + OUTLINED BACKGROUNDS

Sparkle-still

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and an embossed + outlined background.

I do not own Copics. I do not color! These challenges that require use of a marker like a Copic are hard for me.
Most of my markers are old. I have a few Zigs but like my markers they are bright colors and are too dark for outlining!!!

So...
I finally found a light green one that worked with Simply Chartreuse...

I used The outline image from Floral Sketches...because I LOVE itso much!

I did sponge the top of the panel like Betsy did.
It really doesn't show up in real life...It looks so much darker in the picture..

It is time to get busy making cards for the Church conference in February, so I used a sentiment that works for that.

MAKE IT MONDAY #268: DOUBLE-LAYER TAGS

  DSC_7870.1\\

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a double-layer tag.

How adorable are Dawn's tags?
First of all, how awesome is it to see her back in action?
We missed you sweet Dawn...

So I sound like a broken record...but I had another INSANE week!
I had my bible study small group at my house for lunch on Tuesday, and a card sale here on Friday.
I sold another $628!!!
I will donate $4000 for the year! That will dig 2 of the smaller wells!
Thank you Jesus for all of the VERY generous women who support my little mission!!!

Now, on to my last minute effort for a layered tag...

Lizzie's Basic and Window Cut tags seemed to be a no-brainier...

Could not have been quicker...I absolutely adore Dawn's Peaceful Pinecones...
It is a timeless image I never grow tired of!

Made a gorgeous tag!
