MAKE IT MONDAY #285: FELT FLOWERS

Felt Flower Magnet Board 2

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a felt flower

FINALLY getting around to make a flower!
As of late I am behind on every challenge.
I HOPE to do better next week!!!

Have you heard of Birchbox? It is a monthly beauty subscription sample box.
I have subscribed for 3 or 4 years. Actually last year I won this years subscription!
You get 5-6 samples...sometimes full sized product.
Anyway, I have to be honest, sometimes the box is my favorite part.
The boxes are sized to fit a stack of note cards perfectly.
I decorate them and sell them. I LOVE it when gals buy them to put cards in but sometimes they buy them for gift boxes.

I made a pretty red flower with the Flower Mandalas I like Lizze showed.
It turned out great...except for the dang hot glue strings...HATE those!
I used my heat gun the melt them...mostly!

I used the leaf from Beautiful Berries. I like it a lot!

MAY 2017 BLOG HOP

Blog-hop-logo

Blog Hop Inspiration

Such a pretty, soft picture...

The 25th snuck up on me!!! Yikes!!!
Lots of errands to run so I raced to the basement to make a card.

I used Brushed Blooms. I thought the mix of foliage and blooms worked for the inspiration.

I wanted to use Fresh Bouquet but I used it last month...

I popped up 3 of the blooms...can't have a flat card...

Create Along With Us: May 2017

Create-along-with-us-heading

Psalm-lighthouse2

I love this card of Betsy's. I always spend a lot of time cutting waves and land with In the Meadow dies...very time consuming...I LOVE the land and sea with water color. There could be no better use of water color...its the sea!!!

My cliff is a bit...um, sheer!!! I didn't notice it until I compared it to Betsy's...

Oh well...My lighthouse will certainly do it's job perched up so high!

Anyway, I LOVE the technique of  water color land and sea...
Genius! The design team always is...
Thanks Betsy!!!

Make It Monday #284: Background Stamping with Sentiment Stamps

Mimbackgroundsent1

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and background stamping with sentiment stamps.

Melissa...Beautifully layered, soft and oh so pretty!

Susan...bold, loud, fast!!!

Back in February when Papertrey had the paper sale, I bought 10 packs of Vintage linen and 10 packs of Bold Blossoms paper.
I can make GORGEOUS, QUICK cards with both of those packs.
And an added bonus...I have lots of pre-cut papers for background panels.

So, I have lots to use up!
That is where my background paper came from, Vintage linen.
I also have a thing for floral sprays...Garden Grace, Beautiful Berries and Fresh Bouquet.
There is something about a spray...

Paired with a BIG and BOLD Happy Birthday that I used as my background sentiment stamp...

Yep! Fits me to a tee!
 Bold! Loud!
...and pretty darn fast!

MAKE IT MONDAY #283: WATERCOLOR WASH BACKGROUNDS

Biggest Blessing (detail) by Laurie Schmidlin

-Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a watercolor wash background.

This actually was really fast.
I used the line images from Floral Sketches...

I only have the basic set of Zig Water color markers, so that is what I used.

I am pretty sure my little water colored floral image is from Stamp-A-Faire last year.
That amazing technique Melissa had us do...I have to make some more of those cards this summer...
Anyway, it was in my envelope of die cuts and it matched, so why not!!!

I thought all the extra water was going to be a problem, but it wasn't...
SO much faster than individual coloring...
