Chocolate Easter Bunny

I should have posted these cards before Easter ~ didn't get around to it, so here they are!  SUPER simple cards.  4 1/4x5 1/2 top fold white cardstock.  PTI Edger die #1 was used to cut the scallop on the bottom of the card and the bottom of the 3 3/4x4" panel.  All of this paper is OLD!  I have NO idea where it came from.  I mean OLD!  I used my Cricut solutions Easter cartridge and cut the bunny that has the bite out of its ear!  Soooooo cute!  It is cut at 4" with Dark Chocolate cardstock.  I glued a googly eye on its eye and tied matching embroidery floss around the neck.  JoAnns organza ribbon is tied around the top of the card.  That is it!  But these cards are REALLY cute!  That bunny is adorable!  It is adhered to the card with pop dots.

Journey ~ Greeting Cards

This group of 5x7 Greeting cards are all paper from the Me and My Big Ideas ~ 12x12 Journey pack.  It is the same paper pack I used earlier with the note cards.  Still travel theme, hence Journey but different images.  But... I love these prints as much as the others.  The base is 5x7 white cardstock.  The panels are all cut to 4 3/4x6 3/4 or pieced to that sized.  I used PTI XL Rickrack border die for interest or to cover a seam.  PTI Spiral Notebook die was stamped with Tim Holtz Curiosities stamp inked in Dark Chocolate on some cards a shipping tag on others.  Strips of Its Official PTI paper, vintage postage stamps from my Mother, Donna Whitley (contact me if you want to buy some) bits of rickrack, a Love Lives Here butterfly and some other stamps from the Tim Holtz set decorate the tags.  PTI Turning a New Leaf  dies (which I LOVE and now use all of the time!) are used on the 1st & 3rd card.  I cut and stamped those leaves with Spring Moss ~ LOVE that color!  All of the cards are tied with Chocolate bakers twine.  There are mini clothespins on most of them, too.

French Script tag card

This is a super simple card.  The base is .... wait for it..... 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock ~ shock!  The 4x5 1/4 gray mat was embossed with Tim Holtz Texture Fades Dot Matrix.  Patterned paper was cut with PTI Tag Sale #3.  A white shipping tag was stamped with Tim Holtz French Connection script stamp in Smokey Shadow ink.  The large purple butterfly was cut with PTI Signature series butterfly die, the small pink one was one that was in my "cuts" drawer.  Not sure where it came from.  I have made more of this card and used the Love Lives Here butterfly die.  Both butterflies were stamped with the same word stamp.  A purple bling was placed in the center of the 2 butterflies that were stacked and pop dotted on the tag.  A second bling covers the hole of the white tag.  Organza ribbon was knotted through the tag hole.  A mini clothespin with 3 crystals glued on it finishes the tag, which is mounted on pop dots.  A small piece of white cardstock was stamped with Smokey shadow ink. The edges were inked, also.

Raspberry Fizz

This 5x7 white cardstock Greeting Card is bright and cheery.  The 2 1/2x6 3/4" strip of patterned paper is PTI Raspberry Fizz Mix.  It is VERY pretty paper.  The solid paper is Bazzil (before I started buying PTI).  A strip of raspberry paper was cut with PTI Eyelet lace die and adhered on the left seam.  PTI Large Scallop die was used to cut the piece on the right seam.  The flower is from Cricut Cake Basics cut at 3" and a pink crystal adorns the center.  It is mounted on pop dots   The sentiment is stamped in Raspberry Fizz ink on white cardstock cut with Fillable Frames #8.

Office Elements

Here are 2 simple, masculine cards  The main elements are from PTI It's Official.  The papers are so cute!  I mostly trim them up and use them as accents.  The panels are 4x 5 1/4 and embossed with Tim Holtz Texture Fades Dot Matrix.  Message tickets were cut and mounted on pop dots.  A sentiment was stamped on each with Dark Chocolate ink.  The PTI Spiral Notebook die was used to cut cream cardstock.  It was stamped in Dark chocolate with Tim Holtz Curiosities stamp.  A strip of tickets from Its Official paper was placed on top of the pop dotted ticket and a stamp from PTI Postmarks finished the card.
Simple and not frilly.  I think it is a neutral card for male or female.

Green Butterfly Card

I am always drawn to Butterflies.  This one from Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge is a good one.  The butterfly is cut at 3" in 2 shades of green cardstock.  It is mounted on pop dots on a cream panel.  That 4x5 1/4 piece was embossed with Tim Holtz Gridlock Texture Fades folder.  That was mounted on a 4 1/4x5 1/2 piece of white cardstock.  A piece of the darker green paper was cut with PTI Fillable Frame #11.  A small white mat was placed on top of the frame and stamped with Simply Chartreuse Ink.

YoYo Card

The picture of this card is my first that I edited, by myself on Photoshop.  All I did was crop it and used auto color correction, which basically takes the "pink" out.  It is subtle but it helps.  The 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock base has a 4x5" red panel.  The elongated spot paper is American Crafts.  A piece of Michael's red ribbon is adhered to the center of the card.  The red cardstock was cut with PTI Spiral Notebook page die.  PTI's Its Official Order Ticket stamp was inked with Versa mark ink.  I tied red bakers twine around the ticket.  I used PTI Just The Ticket border die and cut white cardstock.  And stamped the It's Official ticket in Pure Poppy ink.  The Star of the Show is the fabric YoYo.  My Mother, Donna Whitley, hand made me lots of them.  They are soooo cute.  I stacked a red and white button in the center and sewed them all together with red bakers twine!  LOVE IT!  If you want some YoYo's, my Mother will sell them, just let me know!

This 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock card is masculine???  Do you think?  The panel is 3 3/4x4 3/4.  I took a strip of paper from PTI It's Official paper pack. There are pages of tickets that can easily be cut in strips and trimed to the desired length.  My trusty PTI Spiral Notebook Page die was used to cut cream cardstock  The Order Ticket stamp from It's Official was inked in Dark Chocolate and stamped on the page.  A Hi! stamp was also inked in Dark Chocolate and the edges of the page were inked with tea stain ink.  Fillable Frames #3 was used to cut cork paper and the coordinating stamp was used in Dark Chocolate.  Some tan floss was wrapped around the page.

This card has a base of 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  I made it a while back and forgot about it.  Melanie over at Courtney Lane Design posted a card this week with this flower so I remembered!  This flower is so pretty and really easy to assemble.  It is cut at 2 3/4" from the Picturesque Cartridge.  I got that cartridge a while back using my points from rewards at Cricut.com.  The darker blue panel is 4x 5 1/4.  The light blue mat is 3 1/2 x4 3/4.  I used Fiskars Threading Water punch on the right side.  The sentiment mat was cut from Just Because Cards.  I had said I liked the mat on page 54 for a number of uses.  I am not sure what size I cut this, if you need to know ask and I will measure it.  Very simple card but pretty.

Just Because Cards

These cards were made using Just Because Cricut cartridge.
I really like this cartridge.  It was released last year but it has some great cuts.  It also has a lot of "cutsey" cuts.  If you like cutsey you are in for a treat!  I made these cards last summer so I do not have sizes, if you need them ask & I will measure.  The base on all of these cards is 5x7 white cardstock.  One thing I like a lot about this cartridge is the scalloped mat.  It is a great background for a lot of images and I have cut it at 1-1 1/2" for a mat to stamp a sentiment.

Butterfly Cards 5 ways

This is another set of cards made in different colors and even switching up the pattern and solid paper.  The
4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock base is the same on all 5 cards.  The front panel is 4x5 1/4.  The strip down the center is between 1 1/4-1 3/4.  I was using some scraps so it depended on the size of paper I had.  PTI Mat Stack #2 was used cut white cardstock.  The stamp from Mat Stack 2 collection was inked in coordinating color.  PTI Love Lives Here butterfly was used to cut 2 images from either solid or the patterned paper.  3 pearls were adhered down the center.  I have been using the ones from Michaels that are on a continuous adhesive strip.  It is double wide so I trim it down the center.  These are adhered with pop dots.  PTI Double Ended Banner die, small, was used to cut white cardstock and stamped with the coordinating ink.
Again, simple card but really pretty.

Clear Embossing

I am as frugal (my kids say I am cheap!) as I can be.  We all know scrapbooking/cardmaking is an expensive hobby.  We buy too many tools and embellishments and expensive paper and...  So I save money where I can.  Sometimes an embellishment package comes with pretty paper.  I have several pieces of paper in my stash from packaging.  This piece of paper came from a K&Co package.  Really pretty paper.  It wasn't big enough so I matted it on  4 3/4x6 3/4 panel.  That was adhered to a 5x7 white cardstock base.  A piece of the same creamy cardstock was cut with Mat Stack #4, inked with Versamark and clear embossing powder was used.  PTI Love Lives Here butterfly was used to cut a scrap of the packaging paper and the 2 butterflies were adhered to the Mat with pop dots.  3 clear rinestones were adhered to the center of the butterflies.  The small double ended banner was used to cut white cardstock.  Dark Chocolate ink was stamped on the banner and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  A very simple card.

This is an A2 card, 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  I styled it to make it a little more masculine.  A piece of 4x5 1/4 white cardstock was embossed with Tim Holtz Texture Fades Gridlock.  I LOVE Tim's embossing folders.  They emboss so deeply.  You can put 1-3 pieces of paper in one at a time and get good texture!  The paper is from that Me and My Big Ideas Journey pack I used earlier this week ~ I told you it had great paper.  The doily is PTI Doily Details cut from white cardstock.  I used a 1 3/4" circle punch to cut a piece of the same paper and stamped it with PTI 2011 Birthday Tags in Fresh Snow ink.  A piece of button twine is wrapped around the panel near the top and adhered to the card with pop dots as is the doily piece.
Simple.

Jeremiah 29:11

I LOVE this scripture!  How awesome is it our God wants only good for us!  This stamp is from Verve, a internet stamp company.  They have a lot of nice stamps.  The card is 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  The front panel is PTI Ocean Tides cardstock.  The 4x5 piece was embossed with Seeing Spots Cuttlebug folder.  The tag was cut with PTI Tag Sale #3.  The Verve Stamp ( http://shopverve.com/vs-09-002.html ) was inked with Ocean Tides ink.  The PTI Love Lives Here butterfly die was used to cut a piece of Ocean Tides paper and was adhered to the top of the tag with a pop dot.  The center heart from the die was glued to the bottom of the tag.  I found some embroidery floss almost the perfect color in my stash.  A mini clothespin on the floss finished the card.

Travel Theme

I have been wanting to post these cards for awhile.  I decide to do them all in one post as they all came from the same sheet of paper.  I was LUCKY enough last summer to find a HUGE pack of Me and My Big Ideas ~ 12x12 Journey paper.  IT IS AWESOME!  I LOVE it!  I wish I had 2 of them (I hoard like that!)  It has some awesome collage travel prints and some really pretty print sheets as well.  The first and last cards are 5x7 and the middle ones are 4 1/4X5 1/2.  The 2 larger ones used pieces that were not large onough to fill the card front, so I pieced the paper.  I took a print from the pack and layered either the PTI Rickrack die or the Eyelet Lace.  I LOVE how that looks intentional.  It is a good tip for when you have a piece of paper that isn't big enough that is you have a border of some kind you can layer or piece over it and make it look like that was the plan! I used Bakers twine in red & brown and a lot of button twine on the cards,  Several have tags that I made with snips of paper from the pack and other trinkets, buttons and tickets.  If you have a specific question about a card, ask  I won't bore you with a list of instructions for each card.  If you find this paper pack, BUY IT ~ You will LOVE it!

This card has a 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock base.  The purple panel was embossed with PTI Diamonds Impression Plate.  Mat Stack 4 was used to cut a plaid paper from DCWV Nana's Nursery.  A 3" white cardstock oval, cut with George and Basic Shapes on my Cricut, is stamped with PTI Signiture Greeting using Lavender Moon ink.  A strip of the purple paper was cut with PTI Victorian lace border die.  Lavender Ribbon from Michaels was tied in a knot at the seam.  I took a short, 6" nylon zipper, coiled it and tacked it down with thread.  A purple button was sewed into the center,  A crystal corsage pin from WalMart was added.

This simple card is on a 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock base.  A piece of pink patterned cardstock from "who knows where" ~ OLD! ~ was cut at 3x4 and a piece of Archivers pink cardstock was cut to 2 1/2x4.  Michaels satin ribbon was adhered at the seam.  PTI #8 Fillable Frame was used to cut white cardstock and the matching stamp was used as well.  The focal part of this card is the flower.  Similar flowers made from cardstock are called Lollipop flowers. I am not sure if that is applicable to this one, but.... I buy the petals meant for weddings at Michaels, when they are on clearance.  I usually pay $2 for a box.  There are usually 2 or 3 shades of a color and also some tulle petals as well.  I cut them out in concentric circles, 5-7 of them.  I layer the satin and usually 2 tulle ones and sew them together with a crystal bead.  A stick pin was made using a corsage pin and pearls.  I have a package of glass pearls from WalMart but I also look for them at Hobby Lobby.  I like 8mm but I use all of the sizes.  The white ones can be colored with sharpies, too!

Fabric Crafting

http://cosmocricket.typepad.com/cosmo_cricket/2011/03/gl%C3%BCbers-on-the-half-shell-and-2-other-random-things.html

I LOVE having bits of fabric on my cards.  The above link takes you to Cosmo Cricket and shows you all about Glubers, HUGE glue dots to make awesome fabric flowers and embelishments.  If you don't have Glubers, you can use red-line tape or other ultra sticky tape.  I will post a card I made at a class at Archivers showing a card we made with a tulle flower, cool!
This is a fun technique!

This card uses PTI elements but also the Paper Rosette die from Tim Holtz.  It is awesome.  I have the Mini version on order, I cannot wait to get it!  So the base is 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  A 3x4" piece of violet patterned paper, from a DCWV stack and the same size of solid violet were adhered to the base.  Violet ribbon from Michaels was placed on the seam and tied in a knot.  The rosette has 2 pieces, the main scored strip and the center.  The strip was cut with the solid cardstock and the center was cut with the pattered paper.  A violet rhinestone was glued to the center.  The bottom piece is PTI Mat Stack 1 cut in white cardstock.  It was stamped with mat Stack Collection stamp.  Love Lives Here dies were used to cut the 2 elements in the center of the mat.  The scalloped circle in violet and the circle with the heart in white.

I don't believe in re-inventing the wheel!  If I make a card I like, I make it again, sometimes exactly and sometimes a little differently!  I LOVE PTI Green tea Leaves paper.  LOVE it!  I took approx 3x 4" pieces of both the red and brown patterned paper and the Dark Chocolate and Pure Poppy cardstock and adhered them to 4 1/4x5 1/5 white cardstock base.  The top 3 cards used a Spiral Notebook PTI die.  The 2nd & 3rd I used the cover of the Basic Grey Basic White paper pack.  It had a collage of the paper styles on it.  Why let that go to waste!!  The 1st is stamped with the leaves from Blooming button bits.  I tied a piece of red bakery twine around the notebook cut.  Fillable Frames #3 die was used to cut the mats and matching stamp for 1,2 &3.  On card #2 I used Its Official to stamp the bingo card on cork paper with Dark Chocolate ink.  On #3 I used an old play ticket from my kids and sewed a felt flower from beautiful Blooms II #3.  Some button twine was wrapped aound the cut. Fillable Frames #4 was used to cut the mat for the sentiment.  Finally #4 has green satin ribbon at the seam and a button was placed to the top of the Fillable Frames mat.
All the cards are basically the same, just changed them up a little.
