Easter "Baskets"

This is what I have been doing and why my posts are few and far between.  I have made about 125 of these "Baskets".  And.... I have had help.
I use PTI Front and Center dies, both 1 & 2.  I cut pastel paper with the die.  My sister Sherry *Hi Sherry ~ and THANKS!* sewed the pocket or "basket" part for me.  The bottom edge is folded up 3" and the sides are Zigzagged.  I used my Easter solutions cartridge & my Cricut Expression to cut the Egg cards.  Target has packages of glitter paper in their shrinking scrapbook area 2, 12x12 sheets for $1.  A BARGAIN.  They actually have several colors including the white I used.  The eggs were cut at 4".  A 4" doily was cut in half and adhered to the front of the flap.  A 2" punch was used to cut the circle in the center of the die.  Happy Easter was cut with the same Easter cartridge at 1 3/4".  The ADORABLE felt bunnies & chicks are from Michael's.  They are also a BARGAIN.  You get 24 in a package for less than $3!  I used various little "charms" to decorate the tiny clothespin.  And what would I do without Seam Binding???  I use it on EVERYTHING!!!  It is the most versatile and cost effective ribbon out there.  Lastly the candy.  I found packages of Swedish Fish eggs and some other miscellaneous bags of candy that were sort of flat.  Also mini Reese's bunnies.
So, I have already sold around 75+.  The ones left I am sure will sell next week!  The picture of the group is about 60+, not all of them!
Happy Easter to all!

PTI Blog Hop

WOW!!!  It has been a LONG time.  First my virus trouble then when my computer guy fixed the virus he removed my program that I downloaded my pictures to, then Spring Break (we had a wonderful time. I'll post later about that), then I had to get a new picture program, so, here I am!

Blog hop inspiration
We are excited to get back to our inspiration challenges for the blog hop each month. For the month of March we wanted to focus on sunshine and the upcoming spring season. What better way to do so than with a fresh color scheme of aqua & yellow. Use the inspiration piece as a jumping point for your color scheme, pattern combinations, overall design or whatever else inspires your creativity. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Here is my take.
A 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock base.  I used a card by Jennifer McGuire as my inspiration.  I cut a 2 1/2x5 1/2 strip of Yellow Happy Spots paper.  2 strips of 1/8x5 1/2 Aqua Mist paper were attached to either side.  Ok, true confession time.  I have admitted it before I am A little cheap.  I spend a LOT on my supplies so I try and cut corners where I can.  I LOVE PTI felt, but lets admit it, it is EXPENSIVE!  I make a LOT of cards.  You know I sell them for missions so I cannot afford to sell a card for $2 and have $1 of felt on the card.  But, I like the colors.... so today I experimented.  I took a piece of my vintage cream felt, mixed several drops of Aqua Mist re-inker and water and dyed my on Aqua Mist felt!  I think it came out GREAT.  I might have made it a little darker as it lightened when it dried, but.... all in all I am happy, and the price is right!  I will be doing more of that, next time I will use 100% wool felt.  I bet white would have taken the color better.  So, I used my felt and cut 2 of the Spiral die from Movers and Shakers.  I cut one in half to get the 2 smaller roses.  Aqua Mist leaves from Turning a New Leaf and a Lemon Tart oval from Oval Limitless Layers.  A white oval cut on my Cricut was stamped with Aqua Mist ink.  I used a Happy Day stamp set (I won that one in the Daily release contest!)
So sorry I have been MIA.  I have a lot to share over the next few days!
