Make It Monday #177: Using Cover Plate Negatives

MIM #176

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and the negatives leftover from a die-cut to create a background.

It was so fun to see Laurie Willison show us her first Make it Monday.
It is also a fun technique. I HATE waste so this is a good way for me to put little bits and pieces to work!

Now, I will say... I tried to be an over-achiever. I did not want to copy Laurie, so...
I did have a couple of issues.
I used the Twist Cover Plate. Some of the pieces are too tiny and I had trouble with them not wanting to release from the Press & Seal.

So... please ignore any stray glue or areas where the paper got damaged.
The Melon Berry strip on the right side... yep, covers the worst area of damage ;)

I am going to try again. With a less intricate cover plate!

It is a fun and EXTREMELY clever technique!
Kudos to Laurie!!!

Thank you for looking at my blog!

  4. So pretty! The negative pieces from that cover plate really do make an interesting background. So Press & Seal really does seal? Like really?
