This was a fun challenge! Originally I thought I won't do this again, but I liked doing it. If you watched the video Dawn said that it was OK to color outside the lines of the image. That is what Watercolor is supposed to look like. Well, that is a darn good thing! Because I definitely did! So.... that means I can do this technique! I am not sure I have EVER posted a card that I colored. Do you know why? I DON"T COLOR! I got unsatisfactory grades in writing in elementary school, probably in coloring as well!
I don't have the grid paper Dawn used but I do have a pad of Watercolor paper, so that is what I used.
The flowers are Pretty Peonies stamped in permanent ink (I cannot for the life of me remember the name of my pad. I rarely use it!) I used Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise, and New Leaf Ink. I smeared my pads on a large Acrylic stamp block ~ it worked great! I went back over the darker areas after it dried to shade it. Trust me, I know NOTHING about shading, I just traced the black lines of the image. The center of the flowers is where the Summer Sunrise was used. I put 3 tiny rhinestones in the center of each flower ~ that is for you, Pam! I used the Pretty Peonies die to cut the happy from Melon Berry card stock. The Birthday is from Birthday Bash. The panel was adhered to a Melon Berry piece and then to a 4 1/4x5 1/2 white, top-fold card.
Yep, if I can go out of the lines and FAKE shading, then this technique is for me! Thanks Dawn!

YIPPY SKIPPY!! I LOVE the bling! I think that you did a fine job with the watercoloring. I've done this technique, but it's been several years. I hope to spend tomorrow in my craft room, so maybe I'll give it a try.
