Butterfly Cards

These cards make me happy!  I LOVE butterflies, especially the ones I make with PTI Butterfly dies.  I got the idea for these cards from a card posted on the gallery on the 2011 Summer Card Camp I participated in.  The blog was from a different country so I am not including a link, it was not easy to navigate.
The cards are simple.  On the first 3 I used PTI Kraft cardstock, cut 4 1/4x 11, top fold.  I took PTI Signature Series butterfly die, the largest, and cut one out of the center of the card.  It is kind of hard to see on those cards but easier to see on the last 2.  The process is the same on all of the cards.  I then used that die and cut patterned/colored cardstock and adhered it on the back of the card through that opening.  Does that make sense?  In other words, with the card folded flat I adhered the cut through the hole left by the die onto the card.  I then cut a series of all 3 PTI butterfly dies from different patterns of paper, mounted on pop dots and adhered from the bottom left to the top right.  The last 2 cards were made after I purchased the Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Classic Butterfly punch.  I made those cards in Charlotte and did not have the Kraft cardstock, it is just a pale gray color.  The small PTI die is Love Lives Here and has a heart cut in the center.  I put it back in and add 3 Michael's Recollections rhinestones to hold it in place.
These cards are easy to make and I think different and pretty.
Thank you for looking at my blog!
