Hero Arts Antique Writing Card

Here are 2 versions of a card made with the BEAUTIFUL Hero Arts Antique Writing stamp.  This card is based on a card posted by Debbie Olson a Papertrey Ink designer.  She is amazing and I fell in love with this card.  It is a greeting card size 5x7 white cardstock.  The stamp is 4.5" x 5.5", so I cut my cream cardstock the same size.  It is stamped in Dark Chocolate ink.  The edges are distressed with the Tim Holtz distresser.  That piece was mounted on Dark chocolate cardstock just slightly larger than the cream piece.  A second piece of cream cardstock was stamped from the area of the large butterfly.  I colored the butterfly with colored pencils, swiped it with a VersaMark pen and rubbed Pearl Ex ( this is an older version of Perfect Pearls) on the butterfly.  I cut out the butterfly and applied some brown jewels to the spots and body and to the smaller butterflies on the panel.  I also took my finger and touched some of the gold Pearl Ex on those butterflies. I wrapped a plum colored ribbon length ways around the panel.  The card front was stamped with PTI Fancy Flourishes in Tim Holtz Antique linen ink.  The panel was adhered to the card front and the butterfly was mounted on pop dots.  PTI Double Ended Banner was used to cut white cardstock and a sentiment was stamped in Dark Chocolate ink.
This is a really pretty, classic card.  The stamp is just GORGEOUS!
Thank you for looking at my blog!

  1. Suze stamped some of these when she came to visit a couple weeks ago. I had her do some for me on light lavender and on ecru. I haven't had time to make up the cards yet, but I know they will be beautiful. Thanks, sis!
