Papertrey Ink Movers and Shakers Die Cards

Remember back in February when I posted cards for the February Blog Hop? I said I would give my tips on using the Movers & Shakers die that I bought. The card above uses Movers & Shakers Popper Die. I had said I would do some things differently. The main change is the weight of the paper. I had used Papertrey Ink cardstock and paper. IT IS TOO HEAVY! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE their paper. It is THE best. But... on this card and the other Movers & Shakers where you end up with multiple layers, it made the card VERY thick and VERY heavy! So, I used paper, not cardstock. I was going through my paper stash, looking for solid paper and found this sheet. I have no idea where it came from, most likely a DCWV but I don't know. I LOVE the pattern part and it had a large section of solid as well. If you buy any of these dies I strongly encourage you to watch Nichole Heady's video HERE to learn how to use the dies. She has several tips you won't want to miss. But my experience tells me paper works better and will save the sender $$ if you use paper. I used a 4 1/4x5 1/2 piece of paper to cut that popper, I like the way it looks. I also used Mat Stack 1 & the Layerz size. The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. they are a great accent to all of my PTI Butterfly dies (I have them all!).
LOVE the card, especially made with paper!
Thank you for looking at my blog!
