Embossed cards

These cards are based loosely on a design by Ashley Newell ,HERE .  I didn't have the same supplies so I used what I had.  I had gotten the Congrats Cuttlebug embossing folder, I am sure on clearance ~ if you know me, you know that is right!  I don't send many Congrats cards so after I made the first one I went on a mission to find a Birthday & Thanks folder.  Well, I was in luck!  At WalMart.com, HERE , they had both for $3.94 each.  I got them both delivered for around $10.  A STEAL!  So I made some more of what I think is a pretty, awesome design.  The cardstock is white core so it can be sanded to reveal the words.  The trim is a 6" piece of that awesome rose ribbon I have used before.  Remember the pink Mothers Day cards?  This trim I got at Hobby Lobby in the fabric department.  I bought the brown but the green is cream ribbon that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist.  It took the color very well.  I bought several yards when it was on sale!  I just folded it over and sewed it together to make a "bunch".  The card base is 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  There is button twine and lace trim.  I have a HUGE stash of brass & other charms I have collected over the years, so I used lots of those.  I also made stamped tags with PTI Tiny Tags.
I really do LOVE this card design, Thanks Ashley, for the inspiration!
Thank you for looking at my blog!
