Make It Monday #72: Step It Up - Embellishments

Today, we're making our own embellishments!  Whether you like to keep it simple or pile on the layers, this step-it-up challenge is for you!  Join Dawn as she shows how to step up those embellishments for a variety of different looks!

What a FUN challenge! I wasn't sure I had a great stamp for this and then I remembered my Simple Sunflower stamp set. What would be a better stamp for a girl from Kansas??? I really do love that set. The paper is from Pacific Vineyard Patterned Paper. The first layer is stamped in Spring Moss, the flower centers are Summer Sunrise. The leaves are New Leaf. the "stepped-up layer is Ripe Avocado. I used Limitless Layers Oval 3 1/2" and cut Rustic White card stock to layer the flowers on. The sentiment if from Dawn McVeys Signature Greetings, stamped in Ripe Avocado. On the last, "stepped-up" card I used 2 buttons tied with button floss.
Fun challenge!
Thank you for looking at my blog!

  4. OMW! Your embellishments are fabulous! I think that I "might" have thought to stack the flowers, but I would NEVER have thought to stack the leaves. LOVE!

P.S. It's been very hot here in Cincinnati, too.
