Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Watercolor technique ~ card 2

For this card, I went out on my own, sort of. I just decided to take a variety of ink and paint them on watercolor paper with water. There were stripe techniques in Nichole's post, so that is what I did. Here it is:

I am actually DELIGHTED with the results. I had very low expectations because of past efforts. I think it is a nice look! I used Notched Flowers and the stamps we got in December. It is sort of my "current favorite"! The mat is Melon Berry and the flower colors are Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise and Terracotta Tile. The sentiment is Dawns Happy for You! I am DEFINITELY making more of this card. If you had several pieces of Watercolor paper cut to size you could knock them out fairly quickly! And... it was FUN!
Thank you for looking at my blog!

  1. This is gorgeous! I love the look you achieved, and now I'm gonna have to try it! Watercolors and I just don't seem to click, but you've given me the inspiration to try again. Good luck in the contest!

  2. Way to create out of your comfort zone! A real stunner, Suze.

  3. Very pretty. I really like the notched flowers with the watercolor effect.
