CREATE ALONG WITH US: SEPTEMBER 2016

I finally got around to making a card for the Create Along With Us.

We have had a rough summer at the Beauchaine household.
Out sweet Springer Spaniel Abby who turned 14 in July got really sick. She was sick most of the summer, much worse than we realized. Anyway last week we had to put her to sleep...It broke our hearts...we loved that dog SO MUCH. She was amazing!

So...life goes on. We know what worse is...we have been there, too.

I LOVE Dawns idea of cutting off the top of the Basic bookmarks and flipping them.
I did discover you cannot just use the part you cut off...you need another top!

Dawns new set New Every Morning is such a great set.
It has some great scriptures and other encouraging phrases.

I used Spring Woods because, well, why not?

One of the Modern Stencil's and clear embossing paste made the background panel.
I just love that stuff...great subtle texture.

Thank you for looking at my blog!

  1. Susan, this is so pretty! I am partial to these birds, and you really showcased the goldfinch well!

  2. What a beautiful, beautiful card Susan! Love the sentiment and the flowers and little birdie are just perfect on that tag! Very sorry to hear about your beloved Abby...they move right into your heart and become a very important part of your family, don't they?!! We have 2 dogs and one (Brinkley) is getting older and I can't even imagine how tough it will be when his time comes...think I'm going to go give him a hug right now! Hope you have lots of pictures and special memories to remember your sweet Abby by! :0)

  3. Susan, thanks for your sweet comments. I'm going to try to catch up tonight after my chores are done around here. So sorry to read about your loss of poor Abby. My brother just went through this recently and it's devastating. Do remember you've been through a much greater loss though, and I'm sure it's still very painful. Your card is simply stunning, Susan - color choices, embossing paste and design. Sending hugs!
