Dawns GORGEOUS card!
OK, I LOVE to stretch myself and participate in challenges. But, I do have one issue with that participation. I am VERY literal. I have trouble stepping outside the guidelines. Which is kind of odd because I am NOT a good rule follower!
Anyway, this was indeed a challenge for me. My work space was COVERED with stamps and ink and scratch paper tests!
So, here is my card which is as far removed from Dawn's as I could go ;)
First of all, I was SO EXCITED to see how she made the BEAUTIFUL flower. I so had to copy that. I love it. It is Rosie Posie, my favorite flower set. She used the Scallop from the small Limitless Layers die ~ BRILLIANT. I am not sure if it was an accident but knowing PTI, not!
I used Background Basics: Geometrics, Fancy Flourishes, and Stylish Sentiments: Birthday. I tried to add more stamps but I just couldn't pull it off. It got to busy for me. The inks are Classic Kraft, Fine Linen and Melon Berry.
I actually am happy with how it turned out. I am SLIGHTLY embarrassed with how much it follows Dawn's design
(but I just cannot help my literal nature)
Thank you for looking at my blog!
Susan
Suze, this is a vary nice card. Good job.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteYou have combined two of my new favorite elements on this stand out card. The Step 2 for Rosie Posie has clearly brought this particular image to life for many of us. AND I adore the birthday greeting you used here. What a cheerful and happy birthday someone will have upon receiving this. : )
ReplyDeleteI love the flourish as a background, and I'm glad that my set just arrived yesterday! Can't wait to use it and make a card as pretty as yours ;)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card, Susan! I also love your large two set Rosie Posie bloom!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think it is lovely and clearly has your own touch on it! I also love that you used the BB: Geometrics stamp...it totally grounds the rest of your design! Thanks for sharing...I'm very inspired!
ReplyDeleteYou made it your own and it is a beautiful card! I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteOh this is really very pretty! Love the flourishes in part of your collage! You made a gorgeous card!
