Make It Monday #197: Homemade Foam Stickers ~ Card 2

3

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and homemade foam stickers.

I needed to make one last card for my Mothers Birthday, tomorrow.
Since I was making a card I thought I might as well make it a MIM card!

My mother LOVES birds. So Songbird seemed appropriate for her.
Also, no glitter, so one of my lucky boys will get to have a less girly card to give her!

It is no secret here on my blog that my favorite PTI color is Berry Sorbet.
It looks great with Ocean Tides!
All of the embellishments are foam die cuts with card stock on top.

I think she will love this card. I love how versatile Songbirds is.
LOTS of occasions on that music measure!

I did make this one Greeting card sized!
It is for a special occasion!!!

Make It Monday #197: Homemade Foam Stickers

3

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and homemade foam stickers.

Another fun MIM that worked for me this week. I still need 2 cards for my Mothers 90th Birthday!
This technique worked well.
I decided to glitter my foam die cuts. What 90 year old Great Grandmother doesn't like glitter???

I just LOVE Dawns Basic Bookmark dies. They make such pretty sentiment blocks.

This card came together very quickly other than the whole glitter thing.

I LOVE the look of glitter but do hate the mess.
I use dollar store swiffer wipes. It helps but I still had to double stamp the Birthday because there was glitter on the paper...

I think my mother will like it. Just not sure which on of my boys will get stuck sending it ;)

Make It Monday #196: Colorful Card Corners

19

Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and creative corners

I actually do this technique myself a lot. I have always been a fan of corner embellishments!
It is time for me to get started on Valentines cards and treat boxes for my missions sales.
I was going through my small stash of Valentines stamps and found my With All My Heart Stamp Set. It has that sweet 2 step corner flower!
As the late ESPN Sports Center talent Stewart Scott would have said:

Booyah!!!

Perfect for this challenge!!!

I had already started stamping when I remembered that it needed some watercoloring around the flower.
I was too lazy (and too busy!) to start over with watercolor paper, so, I pulled out something I haven't used in YEARS!
Chalk. I was able to chalk around the image and gave it the same feel as Danielle did with water color!!!
Booyah! Again!

I just went right ahead and made it into a Valentines birthday card with February Birthday Classics!

I need to make a few more of these.

Make It Monday #195: 2014 A la Carte

191

It is no secret I am a HUGE Dawn McVey fan.She has an amazing, colorful style that I love to emulate!
What is not to like about her!
I really wanted to try this technique the week it was posted but I was so busy with my Christmas sales, I just didn't have time. By the way. Due to the generosity of MANY women, I donated $4500 to missions at my church to dig fresh water wells in Malawi, Africa!

GOD IS GOOD!

My card:

I really LOVE this technique! I did the frame where the edges were not mitered.
I can see doing this a lot. It was really quick and adds a BIG punch.
I would have needed more flowers if not for the frame!

This one is for my Mothers 90th Birthday.
My sister Pat *Hi Pat! * is organizing a card shower.
The goal is 90 cards. My family of 5 will send 5!

Thanks Dawn for a fun, EASY MIM!
