MAY 2015 BLOG HOP CHALLENGE

Blog-hop-logo

Blog Hop Inspiration

I kind of struggled a bit with this Blog Hop.
I am certainly not back on my game, but...
I have trouble with being too exact to the inspiration.

This was what came to mind...

Pretty much the same as the inspiration.
It is colorful, tho...

MAKE IT MONDAY #212: FUSSY CUTTING TIPS

IMG_876307

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and fussy cutting.

This was an amazing technique Ashley showed us.
I would have never thought of tracing the image.
BRILLIANT!!!

That being said... I make too many cards to fussy cut, anything!!!
I am glad to know the technique, but I will stick to my beloved dies!!!

Thank you Ashley, for sharing your brilliance!

MAKE IT MONDAY #211: USING GELATOS WITH STAMPS

Mimgelatos1

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and gelatos or other coloring medium to soften stamped images.

I took a little different approach with this challenge.

I didn't buy the linen finish card stock.
I just don't like textured card stock. I never have!

I also came across Garden Grace when I was thumbing through my floral stamps.
I LOVE garden Grace. I LOVE every card I have ever made with it.

So, my card is not a "wildflower" look. It is the graceful arch of Garden Grace.

I added more greenery to make it look more like the inspiration.
I smudged gelatos on my flowers and greenery.

PRETTY!
Thank you, Melissa! A fun, new technique!!!

MAKE IT MONDAY #210: USING VELLUM TO SOFTEN PATTERNS

Sending Hugs Card

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and vellum to soften a pattern.

So if you look REALLY closely you can see the biggest flower, the Enclosed Flower, is made with vellum.

I realized I had never ordered any Papertrey vellum when it finally was re-stocked!
The vellum I have is not very translucent...

It is a pretty card even with the lack of translucence!

I love all of the elements!
