Make it Monday #147: Multi-layer Images from a Single Stamp ~ Card 2

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and mulit-layered images from a simple stamp..

My second card from the same stamp set and technique!

I was looking to make a masculine card. Fine linen is my favorite neutral color. Actually it is one of my favorites, period. I also was looking to use a Happy One Liner and the newest Tag Sale. So this is what I came up with.

I found the notched Banner die that was the closest in size. It matches almost perfectly. I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Tag set in Dark Chocolate on Vintage Cream card stock and found an enamel dot that is almost Vintage Cream colored. I am very happy how this card turned out!

So this week I have been recovering from the flu and had to get my house un-decorated from Christmas. BUSY!
Sooooo. I took the easy route on this challenge. I used the stamp set Betsy show-cased!

Aqua Mist card stock & pattern pack. I used Notched Banner star die and the star from Tremendous Tags. The sentiment is from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday, I just inked the small part from the Yay! I used Summer Sunrise for the star that was cut with the Seeing Stars die. I also used Hibiscus Burst ink. I had an enamel dot that is a perfect Aqua Mist color for the hole on the tag!

I fun challenge. I wish I shared Betsy's love for fussy cutting! I am for sure a die Gal!!!

A published article about my mission

Back in November, after the card party my friend Jenny Gunter held for me, I was approached by a local community magazine,

I have been blessed to have a story written about the mission funds I raise for fresh water wells in Malawi, Africa. They did a FABULOUS job of telling the story of what I do and why I do it.

If you click on the link above and go to pages 48-49, you can read the article.
I am truly humbled by this amazing opportunity that might bring more attention to the need for water projects in Africa.

If you have an opportunity PLEASE donate to this worthy cause. Read what Chris Hamera, the intern who is from Malawi, says about the water in his native country. He is an inspiring young man who is bursting at the seams with love for his country and for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

This is a PRECIOUS picture of Chris. I am BLESSED beyond belief to have met him and to be able to provide funds to give his fellow villagers access to fresh water!
