SAF 2015: PATTERNS CHALLENGE

Dawn

Dawn

Create a card using one of the above twelve sketches as your inspiration.  You can use whatever products, colors, etc. that you wish.

This challenge came together quickly for me.
I was SO HAPPY to bust out an Edger die!
I LOVE them and do not use them enough!

I also LOVE Vintage Linen.
I cannot make enough flowers with that set!
These are water colored.

This was a bit of a challenge for me. I usually put my flowers at the bottom of a card or on the left side. So it took me a bit to get them arranged! HaHa! Creature of habit, I guess.

SAF 2015: BRIDAL CHALLENGE

3-bridal-challenge

Create your own wedding project utilizing nothing but the color white.  You are allowed to use a neutral ink color (black, gray, brown, etc...) to add a stamped sentiment.

I have a wedding in 2 weeks to attend. I am so happy I have my all white card completed!

Papertrey Ink 2015 Stamp-A-Faire

1-friday-night-fashion-show
Show-us-your-shirt

Customers are invited to alter a white t-shirt in any way they see fit.  You can stamp on it, stitch die-cut felt shapes onto it, add ribbons and buttons, color on it, the sky is the limit!

My supplies and work space.
Ready for tomorrow!

My altered T-shirt

I made 3 flowers I adhered to my T-shirt! They look a bit red-orange but they are not. They are Red!
I used Beautiful Bloom 2 & 3
These dies were among my first PTI purchases and I still LOVE them.
I LOVE felt flowers!

MAKE IT MONDAY #222: DIE CUT KISSING

Diecut-kiss1

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and die cut kissing.

A very fun and CLEVER challenge!
The challenge for me was finding a solid stamp. I LOVE Brushed Off, but I didn't get it. I still might... but I hate seams and I can see If I make a card with it I would be really annoyed with the seams...

I do LOVE leaves, so I chose Leave it Be.

I also used Peony Cover Plate for my "kiss"

Oh my, it gives GREAT texture.
The inked piece of die cut gives a very collage-y feel

This was a fun challenge. Stretching my skills!
Stretching my supplies!

AUGUST 2015 BLOG HOP

August Blog Hop Inspiration

A bit late to the party today. I spent some time cleaning up my room and work space yesterday.
It had gotten a bit out of control...
I forgot to make my Blog Hop card!

So for this challenge I reverted back to my literal self! Last month I used the inspiration to give me guidance, not exact. Today...LITERAL!!!!!

I used Simple Circles Border Die to make a "table for my dye bowls.

The banner die was my second choice. I wanted to use the banner from Keep it Simple Frames but it was just a bit wide. I wanted 5 colors, so I had to use this more narrow die.
I wanted the texture from the stitch lines.

I could have gone horizontal...
Couldn't do it...

MAKE IT MONDAY #221: MASKING SENTIMENTS

MIM1

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a masked sentiment.

Ok, I am not going to pretend this is my best work!
I hurt my back a week ago and it kicked me in the...backside!
I have never taken this long to heal. So it really slowed me down. I stand to work at my table and I just could not spend time doing that.
Also...I made 27 Home Brew "Stock the Bar" wedding shower invites.

Excuses over!

I knew I wanted to use Enclosed:Leaf.
I also wanted to try some ink blending.

I still get splotchy spots. I tried to soften them. I need more practice.
I do love the leaf. I kinda have a thing for leaves.
Maybe its because Fall is my favorite time of the year!

A late Sunday afternoon entrant!

MAKE IT MONDAY #220: DIE CUT MINI NOTEBOOKS

Mimnotebooks2

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a die cut mini notebook.

Last February I was privileged to sell my cards and favors at the woman's conference, Inspired for Life, at my church. This money is donated back to the church missions to dig fresh water wells in Malawi, Africa.

I have already been invited to sell at the conference in February 2016.

I am always on the look-out for things I can make and sell.
These might be an option...

The dies I chose were both from Dawn McVey!
Basic Bookmark 3 Die and Center Style: Feminine Die.

Basic Bookmark works best for Papertrey Notepads.
Center Style works best with ones I have on hand from a local printing company in my old hometown, Fredonia, Kansas.
that is where my Mom and sister Pat (purplegirl) live!
