More cards I made with limited PTI dies

These cards were all made with scraps I pieced, extra die cuts that were already in my stash and some of the dies I brought to Charlotte.

I really like the use of this Filigree border die just added to the strip I pieced.

This one uses a cut from Fabulous Frames Die. It adds a nice interest

This one, too.

This one is just a small piece of a paper doily and Fillable Frames #3 die cut

I LOVE using up scraps. I kind of take it on as a challenge!

March 2013 Blog Hop

OK, first of all KU won! YEAH! Sorry if I have any UNC viewers. It was a struggle but a win is a win! Survive and advance!!!

I thought I had a newer package of sequins but all I found was an OLD baggie of the tiny ones, so that is what I used.
I knew I wanted to use my brand spanking new Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp. I also wanted to make a card with Dawn's glittered border from Make it Monday a couple of weeks ago. When I ran my borders through my Xyron, being the frugal gal I am, I cut enough to fill the whole width ;) So, I had some already covered with adhesive. I had used the Filigree Border die and didn't LOVE the outcome, so on this card I used the Small Scallop die. I like it MUCH better.

I LOVE it!!! I used Raspberry Fizz pattern pack and card stock along with Hibiscus Burst. The Rosie Posie inks are Raspberry Fizz with Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst with Raspberry Fizz and Melon Berry with Pure Poppy. The tiny Flower is Summer Sunrise with Pure Poppy. The leaves are Limeade Ice. I didn't use step 2 on these, still on the fence on that stamp.

I just clustered 3 steel silver sequins on the sentiment strip.

And because I let some of the leaves hang over the side of the card. I had to show it on the card hanger die!!!
Don't you just LOVE it on that bag!!!
I DO!

So, I am so happy with this card. JUST as I envisioned. Thanks to Dawn's inspiration and those AWESOME new stamps for fool-proof shading for those of use who are Copic challenged!

Burning off.....

some nervous energy!!!

Waiting for the 4:15 tip-off of the KU/UNC game! We have had their number the last 2 meetings, but.... Yeesh, and the way we played Saturday, don't get me started!!!

Soooooo, Colin and I went to Charlotte for just 5 days. A short trip. I just took a FEW PTI dies with me. Al works downtown so 2 days Colin and I had no way to go anywhere, so I get LOTS of cards made.
It was kind of fun just having a few things to choose from. I really just made several variations of the same card. All in all I made just under 60 cards.

The ones I am showing today are a design  I did for Stamp-a-Faire last summer. HERE

I like this design because it is easy to mass produce and I think, a pretty design. I am going to use my packaging idea I used for Stamp-a-Faire and make up some packaged cards for sale. I will use my card hanger die and make gift bags to go along with them. An easy gift for someone to buy!

You KNOW how partial I am to Damask and this brown paper is one I LOVE!

The way I cut my paper, and since I mount all of my cards on white (or cream) card stock, I can get 4 cards plus 2 more that I piece with solid paper, so 6, 4 1/2x5 1/2 note card sized cards. VERY economical!

This last one was from an 8x8 piece of paper, so I just made 2 of them.

I have a couple of variations I will try and post soon. I am planning to make a card for the Blog Hop tomorrow, we shall see.
I hope I am in a FABULOUS mood tomorrow! We never know which Jayhawk team decides to show up! Hopefully the one from Saturday left town!!!

Do you send out

St. Patrick's Day cards?

I don't send them out but I do make some... To sell!

I was at Jo Ann's on Friday and they had some stickers and a stamp half off, so.... I had a make a few, quick cards. Here is what I came up with:

The one above and below are little button pins that are adhered to the card with a thick piece of foam adhesive. I just stuck the "Pin" through the foam.

The next one is a felt sticker

And of course I had to include a Card hanger bag ~ too cute!

Happy St Paddy's to all of you!

I got a new toy.....

And it is so cool!

Laurie, from Soapbox Creations is a GENIUS!!! She has made the most clever die! Card Hanger Dies! Why didn't I think of it! It is a simple concept but freaking GENIUS!!!

How cool is this! You can see the die cut on the bag. She has 2 styles. Mine is the ornate one. She also has a square, plain one.

Here it is with tissue, ready to go. Is this not ADORABLE!!!

This is what the die looks like. If you have Papertrey Ink dies (and if you don't you are missing out!!!)
This die is the same material.

You have to use top fold cards. That is the only draw back. I LOVE top fold cards but I don't have a ton of them in my inventory. That will certainly change! You can glue the whole cut down and cut a hole in the bag. I chose to just glue the top of the die down and slip the card through. I should have taken a picture with the card lifted up ~ sorry! Your card is not harmed in the making of this bag ;)

Masculine

There are 2 HUGE reasons for wanting this die. You can take a plain Jane bag and make it as stunning as your card. You can make those cards that are hard to mail or you don't have a envelope for and they become the decoration for the bag and the star of the show! Now instead of the card being the second thought it is the focal point! How cool is that!!!

You all know I sell my things and donate the money for missions, digging fresh water wells in Malawi. I think this will become a HUGE seller for me

You can cut the hanger out of matching paper for your card or use Kraft card stock and it would be generic for any card. I already gave away the first one I cut with Kraft and forgot to make another one.
Laurie has already sold out of her second re-stock so keep an eye on her blog if you want one. She is a Kansas gal and I LOVE supporting her. (I am not being paid ~ she doesn't know me!)

Make It Monday #105: Glitter Trim

I am a little late with  my Make it Monday. Computer problems! I have  had LOTS of them. Finally, it all seems to be resolved and working!
Here is Dawns STUNNING card:

I went a little bold and chose a die that is a bit too ornate? I am not sure, what do you think. It probably isn't a surprise to those of you who visit my blog often that I LOVE the Filigree Border die. I think it is so pretty and VERY versatile. I love it, a lot! So, I went on the wild side and used it for my glitter border die. Here it is:

My picture isn't that great because with a new windows program my Photoshop changed and I didn't edit this card very well. I will get better (I hope!)
Anyway. I used Mat Stack 3 and Layerz, Filigree Border die, Bitty dot and Aqua Mist paper, and the new Stylish Sentiments Birthday stamp. The top filigree is from Half & Half stamp and the bottom one is from The Sweet Life ~ that is such a cute flourish!
The resin flower is from my stash but is like the ones in the Boutique!
