MAKE IT MONDAY #209: WHITE ON WHITE DIE CUTS WITH A POP OF COLOR

Whitediecutsyourock

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and white on white die cuts with a pop of color.
This was my second card I have made that was not a Thank you!
It is really good to get back to my passion!
But... it needed to be simple, so...

SUPER simple!

Wonderful Words die.
Berry Sorbet paper!

It is a fun new technique that I think I will try again!

APRIL 2015 BLOG HOP CHALLENGE

Blog hop inspiration

Navy paired with shades of pink is definitely a trend I have noticed popping up this spring.  Try your hand at this fabulous color combo using some of your favorite images.

YAY for me!!!

I made a card!!!

I used Hexagon cover plate to emboss Enchanted Evening card stock to mimic the table cover.

Enclosed Flower die was my plate and the Keep It Simple Frames hold Flowers from Ruby Rose.
I LOVE the Smile from Enclosed Flower so much.
It makes a fabulous card!

Thank you to everyone of you who sent a card or a kind word of encouragement over the last few weeks. Making cards and getting back to my mission work will be a healing effort for me.

MUCH love to my Papertrey Ink family!!!

MAKE IT MONDAY #201: COVER PLATE STENCILS AND EMBOSSING PASTE

IMG_0475

Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and a Cover Plate Die stencil.

I LOVE using embossing paste.
I just don't love waiting for it to dry!

I also have another annoying tendency...

I like to use cover plates that are more intricate.
I am not as skilled as I could be and end up with "leakage" under my stencil.
Oh well, it is still a pretty card, even with a few shadows!

I really love the Peony cover plate.
I just got it with my February order.

Update on February release order

Yesterday I posted some hastily made item's
I updated the jar topper and made some more cards

The topper looks better. I narrowed the path, added Make it Market sequins, and pulled the trees in closer to the center.
The trim Is Webster's Pages mini bloomers.
PTI ribbon.

WOW Betsy! You did it again!

This card was Laura Basson inspired.
It needs an update...

I love this one. Enclosed Flower + some Friendly Flower cuts and Swoosh.
The middle flower is polka dot vellum. Pretty, right?
For those of you who thought Swoosh was too small, and you know who you are... Do you still???

This one is Ashley's! Man I LOVE this card!
Her design on this one was AMAZING!!!

The Smile tag on a  bag!!!

PTI 8th Anniversary Day 8

8th-Anniversary-Logo
                                   The-challenge
Create a new project that features a blue ombre effect.

Ombre is not my forte!!! Ha Ha! Didn't mean to be a poet, but...
It didn't photograph well at all.
It is not as blotchy in real life!

I do however, love to use Bloom Builder #3
It is a great flower. It takes some time to make the flower and it is a bit bulky, so I don't use it a lot.

The flower is the best part of my ombre!

PTI 8th Anniversary Day 7

                                  The-challenge
Create a new project that features nothing but metallics and neutrals.

So, I made a card just like this yesterday!
As I was getting ready to write up my post, after photographing and editing the picture of the card, I noticed it was not legal!
I had indeed used "Heavy Metals" but not neutrals!
Mine used, ahem, Berry Sorbet!

So... a re-do!

This card uses shimmer paper of both gold and silver I found at Michael's
It is really pretty
