Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Design Team Favorites projects ~ Card 3

WooHoo! Because I could not participate in the Year of Flowers contest I was able to make 2 more cards for the Day 1 contest. The first one is the 3rd on Dawns page:

I could have made this one almost identical to Dawns. I do not have the sentiment she used and am not totally sure how she did it... I am thinking she hand-cut it???
Anyway, I wanted to put my own spin on it, so... I used Hawaiian Shores pattern pack (those pattern packs are SO versatile! It is really the only paper I am buying right now.) Harvest Berries (can I tell you how glad I am I bought that set!!!) Notched Flowers, and the sentiment is from the Everyday Photo Finishers set.
Spring-y don't ya think?

Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Design Team Favorites ~ card 2

As usual, when I post more than 1 card for a challenge, I explain my thinking on the first post not the next, which end up being the first! Do you follow? So, as I say in the next post I SURPRISINGLY chose Dawn as my inspiration!
The first card she posted is a STUNNER! I didn't want to take the time to stamp a background so I used a pattern pack. I did use Rosie Posie because, well, it is one of my FAVORITES!

I will tell you I still have trouble hanging elements off the sides of my cards. I LOVE the look and I have no issue using a larger envelope it is just....different!
Also, Dawn used, I am sure, Copics to shade her flowers. I own no Copics (I am coloring challenged!) so I used a Dove blending pen and Raspberry Fizz on the Hibiscus Burst stamped image. Mine is more subtle. The sentiment, Dawns Signature Greetings is stamped on 1/2 of the Christmas Label die cut.
Another BEAUTIFULLY executed Dawn McVey card that I copied....as best I could!

Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Design Team Favorites Inspiration

I am going to surprise all of you and choose Dawn McVey as my design team favorite! There are LOTS of great inspirations on Nichole's blog but time is limited, so....

I don't have any of the Year of Flower's stamps. I LOVE everyone of them I just never bought them. so, I used Harvest Berries for the foliage and good old Beautiful Blooms II. I cannot find my smallest #2 die so I had to cut it out by hand ~ the horrors! I used Lavender Moon card stock and ink, tag sale #6 and the New Everyday Photo Finishers stamp. I also used a page torn from an old book.
Dawns design is so well executed. Mine looks pretty good (if you don't have her's to compare it to!)

Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Printable Freebies Challenge ~ Card 4

Is your life crazy? Mine sure is! I owe you an explanation of what has been going on but for tonight 4 posts are all I can muster. I was able to spend a couple of hours in my room and made 4 cards for the challange!
I did this one last and had the hardest time with it. I think it might be the best one!
I haven't used Doily Details in a while. This one is my favorite! I used Spring Rain pattern pack, Victorian Lace Border Die and the new Tremendous Tags! OH how I LOVE these. I use Tiny Tags all of the time but sometimes they are not big enough. These are so cute! The sentiment is from Birthday Bash and I tied a bow with blue bakers twine. Simple but cute!

Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Printable Freebies Challenge ~ Card 3

Well, Dawn did it again. An AWESOME image! Isn't she the BEST!!!
This one is so her. I chose Spring Rain and Ripe Avocado to use with  In Bloom Patterned Paper.
I used both medium and small sizes of Mat Stack 6. The image is on 1 3/4" Limitless Layers.
2 little gems finish it off.

Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary ~ Printable Freebies Challenge ~ card 2

Lexi has a cute image, too. I adore Raspberry Fizz and Damask from the Pattern Pack. So this little number has a piece of the Filigree border and the middle size of Mat Stack 6. Oh how I LOVE Mat Stack 6! EASY to use, great layering sizes, inexpensive, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
A 2" Pure Poppy circle is layered behind the image.

Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary Contest ~ Printable Freebies Challenge

My cute little image from Maile didn't print as dark as I would have liked but I was lucky to get one copy so.....
I used Happy Spots and Sweet Blush paper. Limitless Layers, both sizes, and Filigree Border die. The sentiment  is from All My Heart.
