Cosmo Cricket Everafter: Something Blue Card

This pretty Cosmo Cricket paper was used on a post, HERE .  I thought it was from one of their Christmas lines.  It was not.  There is paper I have from Mitten Weather that looks a lot like it.  This card has a base of 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  The panel has Creamy Shimmer hand dyed seam binding tied in a triple bow at the seam.  A button is tied with button twine on the knot.  A PTI Doily Detail orange/red cut, the same color as the solid part of the panel is layered with a Aqua Mist circle punch.  On top of that is all 3 PTI butterflies and some from the Martha Stewart punch.  The largest butterfly has inked edges to make it more the color of the paper.  The large butterfly has Michael's Recollections pearls layered on it.  The sentiment is stamped on PTI Jar Labels 2 that also has inked edges.  This is a very soft, pretty card.  That Cosmo Cricket paper is so pretty.

Brown Damask = LOVE!

I have shown you this card before on this post, HERE .  I won't give directions again, they are identical.  The paper is My Minds Eye ~ Lost and Found 2 » sunshine » two of us.  I told you before I am so into Damask and I LOVE this paper!  It makes such pretty cards.  The flowers from the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge are great flowers.  There are lots to choose from including some rolled ones.  I like my Rolled Roses die flower better, I bet you didn't know that!  The advantage of the Cricut cartridge is if you are making more than 1 card, you can batch cut these flowers and it saves a ton of time.

Pearl Lace Trim Card

This card is a little different for me.  I am not to Girly so you don't usually see fancy trims on my cards very often.  I got this pretty trim at Hobby Lobby, it is probably meant for weddings.  The card is 4 1/4x5 1/2 side fold, white cardstock.  The patterned paper is a Cosmo Cricket piece that I think is from last years Mitten Weather Christmas paper.  It is not Christmas'y at all!  The ribbon is hand dyed seam binding with an aqua button tied with button twine on the knot.  PTI Fillable Frame #10 was stamped with the coordinating stamp & Signature Greetings in Aqua Mist ink.  All 3 PTI Butterfly dies were used to make the embellishment.
It is a pretty card, even for a non-Girly Girl like me!

Another Cosmo Cricket Social Club Card

Like the previous Social Club paper cards, this one has a base of 4 1/4x5 1/2 white cardstock.  I had the paper pack sitting on my work space so I chose several pages to make cards from.  The orange color is from a different paper in the pack. A PTI Doily Detail die was used to cut white cardstock.  The flower is one I made from the little flower petals sold in boxes at Michael's and most everywhere, in the bridal section.  I get those when they are on clearance.  I hand cut circles of the satin & tulle petals, stack them together, and sew them with a WalMart pearl.  PTI Fillable Frames #10, one of my favorites, was layered with one of the oval cardstock pieces I cut in bulk.  That was stamped with Terracotta Tile ink.  Both the doily and the sentiment were mounted on pop dots.

Cosmo Cricket Social Club Card ~ part 2

This card is just like the one on the last post.  I usually post all of the cards made with different paper at the same time, but I failed to see this card in my Photo Shop file.  I won't bore you with the details, they are just below.  I did realize however, that I didn't tell you I inked the flower after assembly, just to give it some additional texture.  It also softens the solid color to more match the color in the patterned paper.  I also used the star tag from Tiny Tags & a Dew Drop.

Cosmo Cricket Social Club Card

This 4 1/4x5 1/2 top fold card is made from paper from the 6x6 Cosmo Cricket Social Club pack I have been using lately.  I really love this color combo.  Blue and Green, how can you go wrong.  The mat is
4x5 3/8.  A soft blue hand dyed seam binding ribbon is tied just under the center of the card.  PTI Mat Stack #4 was used to cut Spring Moss cardstock.  A Doily Details die was used to cut Vintage Cream cardstock.  2 passes of Bloom Builders #3 was used to cut Spring Rain cardstock.  The 10 layers were stacked and sewn together with a Spring Rain button and button thread.  The stack of elements were mounted on pop dots.  A Spring Rain button was threaded on the knot of the bow and a Tiny Tag was stamped and added to the card.  The card is so soft and pretty.  LOVE those colors!
