This card was made as a Masculine card.  A lot of us struggle with cards for our husbands and boys and male friends.  This card is greeting card sized, 5x7.  A white cardstock base has a brown paper mat.  This one is from an old DCWV stack.  It is cut at 4 3/4 x 6 3/4.  I took a page from an old book I got at Goodwill and cut it to fit the front.  The ledger paper was hand stamped from a Papertrey Ink set but, I found an old ledger at an Antique store in Charlotte.  I will post something with it, soon.  Soooo cool.  It has entries from 1950 written in pencil by the owner.  I just LOVE it.  But, I digress! I used Tim Holtz distress tea stain on the edges.  The ticket is cut at 2" on my Cricut from the Wall Decor and More cartridge.  The Mat is PTI Mat Stack 1, which might be my favorite but I LOVE them all!  A cream oval cut at 1 3/4 with the Cricut, George & Basic Shapes was stamped with a Stampin up stamp in Dark Chocolate ink.  Works well for a masculine card, don't you think?

PTI Color Scheme Challenge

OK, first of all, Colin took this picture.  Seriously, does he ROCK and am I pathetic, or what?  Anyway, thanks to Colin you have a great picture of this card.  I will have him re-shoot the other cards I posted this week.  They are nice cards and the pictures do not do them justice.  So this one was to use the following colors:  Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Dark Chocolate, and Kraft.  I also used Dotty Biscotti paper.  I cut the white cardstock and three layers with Edger #1 die.  I used Pure Poppy satin ribbon on the seam between the Raspberry fizz layer and the Dotty biscotti layer.  I cut 2 flowers from Raspberry Fizz felt with Beautiful Blooms #3 die and sewed them together with a creamy pearl.  I cut Raspberry Fizz cardstock with the heart die from love Lives Here and put a Chocolate brown rhinestone on it.  Mat Stack 5 was used to cut Kraft cardstock, a white oval was stamped with Dark Chocolate ink using Dawn McVeys Signature Greeting stamp!

This card was made from a free download from Papertrey Ink.  The image in the center of the Mat Stack 2 is from the download.  I used Dawn McVeys edger #1 die to trim the blue and gold paper and the gold paper was embossed with Polka Dot Basics Impression plate.  PTI Signature Series stamp was inked with Hawaiian Shores and stamped on the Harvest Gold section.  Yellow buttons were threaded with button twine and white organza ribbon was tied in a bow around the card.

Papertrey Ink Card

I am submitting this card to Papertrey Ink for their 4th Birthday celebration.  I LOVE this card.  It is almost all papertrey Ink supplies.  The 4 1/4x5 1/2 card is a top fold, Stampers select White Papertrey Ink Cardstock.  The Butterfly paper is an old American Crafts collection and the yellow mat is We R Memory Keepers.  I used Dawn McVeys Edger#1 die to cut the bottom of the card and the butterfly paper.  Mat Stack 4 (I LOVE that one) was used to cut the yellow mat.  Fillable frames #8 die and coordinating stamp were used to cut the white mat, stamped in Lemon Tart ink.  I used Dawns Signature Greetings for the sentiment.  I cut a butterfly using Dawns Signature Butterfly die (I LOVE Dawn, can you tell?) from the yellow cardstock and a peach one with Love Lives Here die.  I put a small clear rhinestone in the center of the butterfly that was stacked on top of the yellow one.  I added a peachy organza ribbon tied in a bow at the top of the card.  LOVE IT!
