What I have been doing ~ UPDATE

Before I left for my 2 week trip I posted a picture of all of the things I cut out to work on while I was gone.

This is the before...

This is the after...

This was a lot to photograph and as usual my picture isn't great.

I will post some of the finished products as I get a chance.

Thai is the rundown of numbers:

Tiny Takeout Boxes:  196
Gable Boxes: 70
Pillow Boxes:  79
Candy Canes: 81
Large Pine Cones: 83
Small Pine Cones: 33
Damask Snow Flakes (Double Stacked): 131
Large Fancy Flake: 60
Medium/Small Fancy Flake (stacked): 137

I also made just under 100 cards. Part of those cards are not complete. They are just a white card base with pattern paper adhered to the front. Some of those have parts cut for sentiments I didn't have with me.

There are also some other pieces pictured, but not added to my totals, that I had completed before I left!

Thanks, again for your supportive words and thought for my humble little mission!

A Do-over...

ETA: I also wanted to say I found the small bottle brush trees in both green and natural at Michael's.
They are a bit bigger but not much. I trimmed the bottom off the one I used and it worked great!
They also have that chunky glitter in the glitter section.
And, they sell the globes for $.99 each.
Just FYI for all of you inquiring minds!

I was not satisfied with my Tinsel & Tags jar topper globe from yesterday.
So... I re-made it!

SO much better. It needed the bottle brush tree and an extra tree from the die cut.
I am still having a bit of trouble with the trees tilting back...

HOW cute is this???

Where would out paper crafting be without Papertrey Ink?

The picture above was taken out side of my light box.
Less glare.

Tinsel & Tags

This is a SUPER quick post on a busy Tuesday!
I have Bible Study in the morning and a friend and I teach one in the evening at a local Assisted Living home.

I found my Tinsel & Tags kit on my door when I got home this afternoon.
I really didn't have time to play, but...

Betsy's adorable domes are what put me over the top for the kit!

SO CUTE!!!!!
Jars-5

I LOVE these.

Now, remember I was a bit rushed.
My first attempt...

It really needs the tiny trees but I didn't want to waste any on a failed attempt...

My photography skills, or lack there of, really show...
GLARE

I used a tinsel pipe cleaner I had. Again not wasting precious supplies...

But, I think I will be able to settle on a design and make them quicker than I thought!
This one needs a little more scenery in it, but...

I am in LOVE!

Thank you, Betsy and Nichole, and PTI!!!!

Halloween Tiny Take-out box v Gable Box

Diana K asked me about the size of the Tiny Take-out Box. I had a few minutes this morning so I snapped a couple of pictures.

Hopefully this quickly taken pictures compares the size.
I can get 2 Gable Boxes from a 12x12 sheet of paper.

I can get 4 Tiny Take-out Boxes from a 12x12 sheet of paper.

I think it is beneficial to have a known item next to something you are trying to imagine the size of.
A quarter and a PTI re-inker!

This paper is Graphic 45 that I got at Tuesday Morning $1.99/25 sheets!
These deals are such a cost saving for me, and I can get either 50 or 100 containers from each package. I like to have dozens of the same pattern for people to use as table favors. Not as important for Halloween. It was just cute, inexpensive paper!

I hope this helps

What I have been doing!!!

I am going on a 2 week trip.
My husband and I are going to New York City. Doctors appointments for a health issue my husband has. Then we are going to Charleston, South Carolina. We will be there for our anniversary and my birthday! Then to Charlotte North Carolina where my husband works.
I will have a lot of down time and I HAVE to have something to work on. I cannot watch TV ad nauseam. PLUS, This is my busy time. I need to make LOTS of treat containers for the upcoming holidays. I cannot loose 2 weeks of work time.
So, I have been cutting out a LOT of parts and pieces.

Tiny Take Out boxes ~ probably 100
Bottle hangers ~ just a few, maybe 10
Gift Card folders ~ just a few, maybe 20
Gable Boxes 50'ish
Pillow boxes 25'ish
Damask Snowflakes ~140'ish
Fancy flakes ~ 120'ish
Peaceful Pinecones ~ ?
Candy Cane Christmas ~ ?

This is a start for me. I have no doubt I will need more of all of these things.
I didn't even cut my Thanksgiving containers. I'll do that when I return.
Halloween containers are done and I have sold a LOT. Not sure if I will need more...

These are a few of my favorite things!!!

Memory Box die cards

I have 2 cards made with the Memory box die, HERE
The thing I love most about the die is its versatility.
It is the same die that can be used both ways.

The pink card uses the Thanks with the s cut off.
The Green card says Thanks!
I also do that with the Friends die from PTI.

I also love the thin styled cursive, but it can be a bit tricky. I cut 2 with white chipboard and glued them together to give it more stability.
I also love that the font is large so it doesn't need much more to make a statement!

Both of these cards are scrap cards. Using a patterned paper scrap pieced with a coordinating solid.
The green flourish-y paper is one of my favorites.
