March 2013 Blog Hop

OK, first of all KU won! YEAH! Sorry if I have any UNC viewers. It was a struggle but a win is a win! Survive and advance!!!

I thought I had a newer package of sequins but all I found was an OLD baggie of the tiny ones, so that is what I used.
I knew I wanted to use my brand spanking new Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp. I also wanted to make a card with Dawn's glittered border from Make it Monday a couple of weeks ago. When I ran my borders through my Xyron, being the frugal gal I am, I cut enough to fill the whole width ;) So, I had some already covered with adhesive. I had used the Filigree Border die and didn't LOVE the outcome, so on this card I used the Small Scallop die. I like it MUCH better.

I LOVE it!!! I used Raspberry Fizz pattern pack and card stock along with Hibiscus Burst. The Rosie Posie inks are Raspberry Fizz with Pure Poppy, Hibiscus Burst with Raspberry Fizz and Melon Berry with Pure Poppy. The tiny Flower is Summer Sunrise with Pure Poppy. The leaves are Limeade Ice. I didn't use step 2 on these, still on the fence on that stamp.

I just clustered 3 steel silver sequins on the sentiment strip.

And because I let some of the leaves hang over the side of the card. I had to show it on the card hanger die!!!
Don't you just LOVE it on that bag!!!
I DO!

So, I am so happy with this card. JUST as I envisioned. Thanks to Dawn's inspiration and those AWESOME new stamps for fool-proof shading for those of use who are Copic challenged!
Thank you for looking at my blog!

  9. What is a card hanger die?

Congratulations on winning. Though it is a random drawing, your card would have won if it had been a judged contest. Really pretty.

    1. Beverly, I looked to see if I could send you an email but didn't find your address. Look further down on my blog post and you will see info on the card hanger die. You can hang a top fold 4 1/4x5 1/2 card on the outside of a bag. CLEVER!
Thanks for looking at my blog!

  10. Who cares if it's a random drawing, I'm happy as I'm sure you are and I think your card would have won either way. Love the colors and your use of Rosie Posie 2-step (I haven't tried mine yet, but may do a CAS based on yours), great balance and visual eye-candy card.
